What’s in a name?

Many years ago, while living with my uncle and his partner, I fell in love with the Japanese screen, seen below, hanging in his home. In the first instance, my eye was drawn to the elegant bridge connecting the two sides of the shore, then to the boatmen ferrying people back and forth - a daily occupation for all of them, I imagined.

But then my eye was drawn to the majestic mountain peaks and the sky and clouds represented by gold leaf in the background. If I could just stand on the very top of that ridge and look over into the next valley to get a glimpse of many more valleys, rivers, and shores beyond, what might I see?

The possibilities seemed endless.

That is the feeling I want to share with all my clients while standing on the mountain ridge looking across the valley on the path to their best life, their Ridgepath.
